Chedoke is pleased to offer Sit to be Fit exercise classes starting Monday Nov 1—please see important information below: 

The Instructor: Sandra Mallett will be the Instructor for the Sit to be Fit classes, Mondays and Fridays. Sandra is qualified and trained as an instructor with the Centre for Activity and Aging at Western University.Sandra works for the Alzheimer’s Society, who is the organization sponsoring Sandra to be at Chedoke. It is important to note that Sandra is hired by the Alzheimer’s Society and not Chedoke church, and therefore follows all protocol and policies of her organization 
Start Date for classes:  Monday Nov 1, 2021 
Frequency -weekly Mondays and Fridays (please note: no class Fri Nov 12) 
Time : 10:00 - 11:00am 
Where: Chedoke Gym 
Number-15 participants only for each class, all adults welcome 
Preregistration--Sign up /Pre Register: Please Call--Alzheimer’s Society to register at 905-768-4488 
Cost: Free, all are welcome 
COVID Protocol:Each person must be fully vaccinated (two doses of vaccine), this information and COVID screening questions (please see attached) , contact tracing information, will be asked before each class and will be kept confidential.Please use hand sanitizer at entrance of building upon entering and exitingIf you are feeling unwell, or  if you have any COVID symptoms, please do not attend class.All participants are to remain fully masked coming into the building, and moving around in the building.Please use back door only, and please keep your mask on until you are seated and the exercise class begins.Masks are to be put in your own small container while you are exercising and then masks are to be put on again when you are ready to leave the gym after class,  or if you visit the washrooms.COVID cleaning protocol will be followed by Chedoke staff and Sandra 
What to wear and bring to class:Sandra has noted that the participants would do well to have the following items for each class: Running shoes, own water bottle, hand weights (Sandra suggests between one and three pounds), one theraband and one small activity ball, small plastic container for your mask(eg. yogurt plastic container ).  If people need to purchase items Sandra will have therabands and balls available for purchase.  Everyone will be responsible for their own equipment and it is not to be left at Chedoke but instead brought to, and taken home from, each class.
