What We Believe

As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, we are rooted in the historic Christian faith, shaped by the Reformed tradition, grounded in the Bible, and centred on Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word and the primary authority for faith and life. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His purposes, His heart, and His plan of salvation.

We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – who created all things, sustains all things, and loves the world He has made.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully human and fully divine.  Through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, He provides forgiveness of sin, reconciliation with God, and eternal life.

We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the lives of believers, drawing people to Christ, transforming hearts, and empowering God’s people for service.

We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, grow in faith, care for one another, and share the good news of Jesus with the world.

We believe God calls His people to serve others, seek justice, walk humbly, show compassion, and make disciples in the name of Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus Christ will return to make all things new. Our hope rests not in ourselves but in God’s promises and His coming kingdom.

We affirm the historic creeds of the universal church and the confessions of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.
