During this unprecedented time, there are more people in need and many who want to help but want to do so safely and don’t know how. We are reaching out to the community and also inviting them in. We want to be the church on the west mountain that cares and shows they care!
Here is how we can do that in a tangible way.
Monthly N2N drive thru and drop off socially distanced food drive. From 10-1pm we will have volunteers collecting non-perishable food for the local food bank. Please remember to drive up from the west entrance and exit using the east entrance.
EVENT: Drive Up and Drop Off Food for Neighbour 2 Neighbour
DATE: Saturday, August 15, 2020
TIME: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
WHERE: Chedoke Church…outside front doors
HOW: We will be hosting a “drive up and drop off” food drive. People wishing to donate will drive into the church parking lot and up to the front doors You will NOT have to exit your car…just pop open their trunks Volunteers (wearing face masks and gloves) will take items from your trunk and put them in boxes to deliver to N2N. Items will be dropped off to N2N on Monday morning.
Here is a list of food items that are most needed:
· Cereal & Oatmeal
· Kraft Dinner
· Peanut Butter
· Lentils, Chickpeas, Kidney Beans (dried preferred)
· Canned Fruit
· Canned Meat
· Soups – small, large and vegetarian
· Personal care products (menstrual products, shampoo, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.)
· Diapers Sizes 4, 5, 6
· Cat & Dog Food
PLEASE NOTE the expiry date on food donations. The Food Bank cannot distribute food that has expired. Thank you!
